Mary Todd Elementary
Chuck E. Cheese Fundraiser
Mark your calendars! We are hosting a Chuck E. Cheese fundraiser for Mary Todd on November 18th from 3:00-9:00 p.m.! 15% of your purchase will be donated to Mary Todd! Please join us!
United Way Donations
Thank you to everyone who donated items to our troops! Mary Todd students, staff, and families are excited to show the men and women serving our nation that we support them by sending items, pictures, and letters. Our collection effort was a huge success. Congratulations to kindergarten and third grade who donated the most items!
Online Book Fair
You can now shop our online Book Fair! Online sales count toward our overall total and help us earn free books for students and our library! The Book Fair will be at Mary Todd September 12-16. #ScholasticBookFair
Mary Todd is working with United Way to show support for our troops by collecting items to send to the men and women serving in Iraq. We will be collecting items until September 16th. Below are some requested items suggested for donation. Students may bring these items to school and place them in their grade level's box in the front foyer. It is a grade level competition to see who can bring in the most items. Students will also be writing letters in class to send with the items to help show our appreciation to our service men and women. Thank you for your kindness and willingness to help make this collection a success!
Author Tommy Greenwald will be visiting Mary Todd next Wednesday, August 31st to speak to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students! Tommy is the author of the popular Crimebiters series, the Charlie Joe Jackson series, and his newest book, Jack Strong Takes a Stand, a spinoff of the Charlie Joe Jackson series. His books will be available for purchase next week and Tommy will sign any purchases! The proceeds from this sale will count toward our Book Fair totals!
Mark your calendars! Our next #ScholasticBookFair is right around the corner! September 12 – September 16 from 7:55-3:30 and September 15 from 6:00-7:30. Your young readers will have several opportunities to walk through the library and choose books they may want to purchase. We will also have fun stationery items like pens, erasers, bookmarks, and posters for sale!
To help with a smooth and safe dismissal, please submit transportation changes to the front office no later than 2 p.m. each day. Changes can be submitted via written note, email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or fax (859-381-3720). If your child is a walker or rides a bus and you would like to pick them up in the event of rain or snow, please do so at their bus stop or at their walker door, not in the front office. Last minute dismissal changes hold up the dismissal process, slow down buses, and delay students getting home on time. Thank you for your help in this matter!
